About me

About me: your couples and individual therapist

Most people who come to me aren't in crisis. They're just tired of feeling stuck in the same place.

I'm a couples and individual therapist with a Master's in Counselling from Monash University and an accredited member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS). I work with people navigating relationship struggles, anxiety, neurodiversity, and that stuck feeling when things aren't quite working anymore.

I offer safe in-person sessions near Brackley, as well as online counselling by video call across the UK and internationally.

My background

Counselling is my second career. Before retraining, I spent years as a senior manager and consultant in advertising and marketing, volunteered in schools, and lived for ten years as an expat across six countries, raising two children abroad, who were young children and then teenagers during our time away.

I specialise in multicultural relationships and the particular stresses of living abroad: the pressure of building a life somewhere new, the loss of familiar support, and the way culture shapes how couples argue, connect and make decisions together.

That gives me real insight into the pressures of juggling work, family and identity, and into how much those pressures shape the way we show up in our relationships.

What I've noticed

What brings most people to therapy isn't really about the surface stuff. It's about old patterns: the stories you've learned about relationships, about yourself, and about what you can trust. Those stories shape how you show up now.

My job isn't to listen passively and nod along. I'm warm, I have a sense of humour, and I'll be honest with you. You'll do the work, and I'll help you understand what's possible and hold you accountable to the change you actually want.

How I work

I draw on different evidence-based approaches depending on what you actually need, including CBT, ACT, DBT, emotion-focused work, and the Gottman Method for couples. My training began with Person-Centred therapy and CBT, and I've since added qualifications in ACT, DBT, and Gottman Levels 1 and 2. I find we work best together when we're flexible and focused on change.

Who you might meet

Occasionally we have student therapists who sit in on sessions. They are remarkably empathetic and very discreet.

They have four legs, a tail, and a fondness for cushions.
